You are All Terrible

Postby Arnie Fuoco » May 22nd, 2016, 10:01 am

Just finished Mr. Greenbaum's first article "Surprise" in the May Genii--a superlative article on the common ground between magic and comedy. The surprise factor is the key.The article was also enjoyable because of the humor integral to the article. After watching magicians like Hobson, Sankey, Sanders, et al, I marvel how they use comedy as misdirection to the point of performing the moves completely undetected.

And Harrison, I know you want us to be original but we wouldn't mind if you added a few new opening line jokes about magicians in future articles.

After seeing the title to this thread I thought I started it. Now that I have seen the content of the above post I realise it had nothing to do with me after all. I shall let you all speculate as to whether I agree with the statement in question.
