Guy Hollingworth's Inflation

Postby David Acer » February 24th, 2007, 5:35 pm

I'm sorry there isn't a video clip of Guy Hollingworth performing his astonishing contribution to this month's Magicana ("Inflation"). It's an eye-popping, ground-breaking, mind-altering coin routine that will knock your socks off, then fold them neatly and put them in your laundry hamper.

I've been playing around with this to some degree. It's a good routine, particularly useful in "impromptu" situations, as it starts with normal coins, but quickly progresses to obvious preparation by the magician. The problem is, for impromptu situations, I probably won't be wearing a jacket (necessary for some of the ditches) - not to say the routine can't be tweeked to accommadate the lack of a jacket. I like the idea of the primary sleight in this routine. It seems practical and efficient. It's taking some time, however, to make it look natural . . . an investment of serious practice time may be necessary.

Is the inflation here better than in complete works of Derek Dingle?

I'm subscribing today but am not sure I'll get that particular issue. Which issue is it in case I need to order it as a single copy?

Thanks,
Tony
