In 1976, the late Al Mann released his acclaimed effect, The Lexicon Phenomena. In 2008, Devin Knight released his Improved Lexicon Phenomena. Mr. Knight is now offering his latest version of this effect.
The performer hands a dictionary to a participant and walks twenty feet away, for security purposes. The participant freely selects two words from lists of 200 Enrich Your Word Power words that the performer has graciously affixed to an ungimmicked dictionary.
Without asking any questions or making any statements, the performer writes his impressions of the two words on a page of a note pad. He tears off the sheet and reveals that he correctly divined the two words.

You must provide your own dictionary. Mr. Knight recommends the 8.3 x 5.3 x 1.5 version of Websters New World Dictionary because it is large enough to accommodate the word lists.
Both The Lexicon Phenomena and the Improved Lexicon Phenomena use word lists that require a specific edition of a dictionary. If a dictionary goes out of print and a new edition comes out, the old word lists will no longer work.
The good news is that the word lists for Word Sight will work forever with any version of any dictionary.
You will also need to purchase an 8.5 x 11 notepad that is spiral bound at the top.
The earlier versions of this effect require the performer to carefully watch his participant to determine if she is reading from the left or right page and if she is reading from the top or bottom of the page. Neither of these observations is necessary with Word Sight.
Mr. Knight writes well and does a thorough job of teaching the method. He provides his complete performance script. He also teaches the reader how to create their own word list using any dictionary in any language.
I really like Word Sight! The effect is mind-blowing and the method is simple, yet diabolical! I commend Mr. Knights creativity. You can borrow a dictionary, slap the word lists on it and youre ready to profoundly wow the crowd. This is a terrific effect!
