Cuban magicians
A friend of mine is probably going to Cuba in the fall. Does anyone have any magic contacts in Cuba? or know any magicians that live in Cuba?

I heard, at some point, that there is a small community of magicians in Cuba.

Is there any new information regarding magic in Cuba, I'm very curious.
Richard, is there someone specific you may have heard that from? I'm very interested in researching this topic, especially now with commercial american flights heading in to Cuba.

Re: Cuban magicians
You would think that there would be magicians in Cuba like practically everywhere else on the planet. I wonder how they acquire their magic. Do they have magic shops in Cuba or can purchase them through the mail? It's known to be a poor country so maybe Cubans can't afford to buy magic.
Do they have the Internet? If they do, you would expect to see Cubans on this forum.
If Cubans have exposure to magic performances, then you would expect a number of them becoming interested in the art.
Someone who has visited the country may be able to tell us something.

Yes, they have to put aluminum foil on the antenna.
