Chicago Magic Lounge

Postby John Sturk » March 4th, 2015, 9:59 am

Starting Thursday, March 5, the Uptown Underground presents the Chicago Magic Lounge!

Magic bars were all the rage in Chicago during the 1960's and 70's. There was the well-known New York Magic Lounge in Lincoln Square, the famous Schulien's in North Center, and South-Side club Little Bit O' Magic. They were all places to see magic happen up-close and personal, providing an exciting and unforgettable experience. They pioneered what is now known as the "Chicago Style" of magic; magic right at your table.Recent years have seen the last of the Chicago magic clubs close their doors. So that got us wondering-- what happens now?

The Chicago Magic Lounge aims to bring you the city's best magic every Thursday night. Teaming up with the Uptown Underground, the Lounge is dedicated to revitalizing an important Chicago tradition. Come by to experience magic at your table-top, behind the bar, walking around, and close out the night with a main stage act of the highest caliber. Our goal is to provide an unforgettable experience that will leave you wondering not only how our magicians do it, but what will happen next.

Playing every Thursday at 8pm and 10pm, more information is available on our website, http://www.chicagomagiclounge.com and on our FB page, http://www.facebook.com/chicagomagiclounge.

We were recently featured in a segment on our local Fox affiliate! The reporter had such a great time filming with us, he brought a fellow anchor and his girlfriend to the show the next night.
