Venues in Guadalajara and Mexico City

I'll be in Guadalajara 9 June - 12 June and in Mexico City from 13 June - 7 July. Would love to visit shows, shops, clubs, or other venues. Any recommendations?

John,
You know a magician that wore out his welcome there as a young cowboy decades ago. I'm not sure they'd ever let me come back. (What is the statute of limitations in Mexico?)
I did learn some rope tricks.
It's a beautiful place.
