from the NY Times:
"The director of fantasy and horror films keeps his collection of books, gory props and mannequins where he can see, and be inspired by, them."

Re: director Guillermo del Toro's House of Horrors
I've been an avid fan of the horror genre and monster movies since I was a kid in the early 60's. I subscribed to Famous Monsters of Filmland and I've been following Rick Baker's career since The Thing With Two Heads .
I enjoy del Toro's work. Thanks for the link, Jim. What fantastic homes! I could immerse myself in them for weeks!

I still have all my copies of Famous Monsters, as well as Castle of Frankenstein.

I wish I still had mine Richard. But I did have the pleasure of hanging out with Forest J Ackerman one afternoon (we interviewed him for a film and took him to some of his old haunts). It was like getting to hang out with one of those mythical, supernatural critters he brought to us all -- but not scary.
