Thanks! I've seen his analysis that says 7 riffle shuffles is sufficient to randomize a 52 card deck. The statement that it takes 10,000 Hindu shuffles is new to me, and here is the model for that.

Although very much a non-mathematician, I enjoyed this. However, trivia-buff that I am, I wonder where the Waddingtons cards came from. And who the card-spreader was.
Also, is Diaconis left-handed?
