The Walk-thru Fog Screen

Postby Guest » August 6th, 2003, 11:24 pm

Here is an interesting gadget I stumbled upon. It creates a cascading, dry-fog "screen" onto which images are projected. There is a waterfall appearance to the image, and because you can walk through the fog you can create turbulence patterns within the image.

There are three video clips including one by a mime actor named Markku Laitinen who used the screen in a performance piece.

This kind of thing might inspire some interesting stage magic presentations.

How cool is that! Thanks for sharing.

...now if instead of a curtain, the vapor was released in a cylindrical shape and there were 4 projectors at 90 degree angles apart, showing four views of a 3 dimensional object... hmmm...
