Richard Hatch has mentioned in the Erdnase threat searching on the internet for ("Googling") particular idiosyncratic phrases from Erdnase, in hopes of finding similar usages, and thus clues to the author.
It may be of interest that Amazon has just announced full-text searching of over 120,000 books in their catalog. It is unlikely that many of them will be 100 year old magic books, and therefore of much use to Hatch in the search, but the amount of content online is growing all the time.
