I didn't know either, but considering it's a Spanish site, I took a guess. Vernon was a major influence here in the US (and overseas as well, but mainly here). Think about who might be an equivalent person for the Spanish. ;)
Of course, now that I'm in, I wish it wasn't 5 years since I last took a Spanish class.
