Marko Karvo is the most amazing stage magician I have seen in europe. His act is close to real magic and its a very beautiful act with many different birds.

I only watched it cursorily as I have a low attention span and have seen thousands of bloody magicians and my enthusiasm for watching any more is somewhat limited. I don't actually like watching magic.

However, I will say that this cabaret du monde or whatever it is called is a remarkable show. I don't think I have ever seen a bad magic act on there yet. This particular act is just one of many wonderful performers I have seen on that show. It revives me temporarily from my cynicism and gives me a little hope for the art. It is such a refreshing change from all the sleazy, loud mouthed, "performers" I am forced to watch on television, magic conventions and other places of so called "entertainment" and bastions of vulgarity.

This is the way magic used to be and it shows signs of coming back although it may be just this particular show that is doing it.

I have no idea who the producer of that show is but whoever he (or she) is he deserves tremendous credit for the quality and class of the performers allowed on the show.

Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde is very actively produced by the host Patrik Sebastian (an iconic French TV presenter in the mold of Bruce Forsyth / Regis Philbin) with specialist advice & booking by Monique Nakachain who runs probably the biggest variety act booking / management agency in Europe. The show gets amazingly good ratings all across Europe and is one of the few TV shows that can genuinely launch your career if you make a good impression.

It's also an absolute blast to work on as a performer / consultant as the entire production set-up is focused on making you comfortable and staging you act so that it looks the best it possibly can.

They don't seem to have much in the way of patter acts which is just as well, I suppose, since I don't speak that much French. Besides it is usually the patter acts that tend to be low quality.
