Tony Awards and Neil Patrick Harris

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Tony Awards and Neil Patrick Harris

Postby Doug Thornton » June 8th, 2014, 7:41 pm

Just a heads up.
The show airs in about 20 minutes, 8 - 11 pm Eastern time on CBS. Hugh Jackman is hosting and previous host, Mr. Harris, is nominated. Go, Neil, go!

A guaranteed win. The day after the show opened and I read the review in the NY Times, that race was won by Mr. Harris.

Neil was great (and I won't reveal who won with respect to those in other time zones).
Towards the end of the show there was a neat trailer for Woody Allen's "Magic in the Moonlight".

The show is broadcast live, so no problem: Neil won Best Actor in a Musical.

Well, it is tape-delayed on the West Coast, so that's what I was thinking about. No matter...there's not much activity besides you and me on this thread anyway, Richard. :D
Congratulations to Mr. Harris.
(By the way, Rosebud was Charles Foster Kane's sled.) ;)

I've know it was the sled, I just never understood why it was important.
