Penn Jillette & NRBQ

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Penn Jillette & NRBQ

This is a shameless plug for NRBQ. Those of you that are familiar with the band know that they have been around for a while. Their line up has changed down through the years, but Terry has always worked with great musicians. The current line up features a very good friend of mine on bass and vocals. Casey McDonough and I played in bands together growing up on Chicago's South Side. Please check it out. Rarely do my two worlds (magic/music) collide like this. :D

You can purchase the new CD "Brass Tacks" from the NRBQ website: http://www.nrbq.com

“Today, I’m on 8 times in a row and still going. I’m digging it.
Man, I love hearing a record that is not ironic or cynical. I love that the layers on it are musical and not a superficial spin on the top.
Real emotion. It’s killing me.”

–Penn Jillette on “Brass Tacks”

will never find it. " -Roald Dahl
