documentary on Tannen's Magic Camp

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

That is a weird review in that there's only three adjectives describing the movie itself.

Was it heavily abridged from the print version of the review?

Here's a more useful review from the Washington Post:

I watched this movie last night and enjoyed it very much.

As the Post reviewer notes, at its heart, the film is very much about kids in an exotic setting trying to figure out who they are -- or at least realizing that they need to start figuring that out, and that can be a difficult thing to do.

Unfortunately, the least self-questioning kid in the film performs the most shows in public. Sigh.

The documentary has just been added to Netflix Canada. Perhaps subscribers in other countries can indicate whether it is also available there.

Yes! Magic Camp is now streaming in the US!

Thank you!

I found this a very engaging, very human, documentary.
