Hi there!

Even if he did not invent that trick I consider Patrick Page one of its best performer.
I'm referring to the trick in which, in the act of removing your long sleeve jacket a glass of water is removed from it. In one of the variations you can remove the glass from a spectator's jacket.

I was wondering if on the market there is any video or book with the description of it by Patrick Page himself (or any performance of it).
Additionally, if any of you has the pleasure, a list of different tricks/creators whose idea is based on the same concept would be appreciated.

Patrick tipped the whole thing a couple of years ago at FFFF. So there are probably at least 125 people who have the work on it.

It was a standard part of his lectures. I saw him on two separate occasions, and I definitely taught it in one, if not both of them. I'm fairly certain a lot of people have the work on it.

I'm sure it will be in the new Pat Page book.

I believe Joshua Jay also included this effect in his book, Magic: The Complete Course.

Barrie's "Ovation Position" handling and presentation is also on volume one of his video series, widely available. Barrie credits his friend Pat Page with the inspiration for this.

I remember there was a Richard Osterlind version of this as well.

Osterlind's glass of liquid production is from an empty and examinable paper bag done under test conditions, not the same as this. With his, two people hold the bag and each wrist and the glass of liquid appears that way.

Richard Osterlind's Challenge Glass of Water production shares a similar methodology, but was independently conceived. Richard's inspiration was Dunninger's production of a glass from a cloth bag (was that an Al Baker effect?), which was likely inspired in turn by the egg bag. Richard, you're correct about the origins of Dunninger's glass production. It came from Al Baker and passed through very few hands. It's unpublished.

David Alexander did the effect all of his professional life having learned it from Charlie Miller. David used a smaller bag, not the same challenge scenario that Dunninger used. Tom Baxter is the only other person I know who is doing this exact method, having learned it from David.

Thank you all for the help. I'm sorry I was not writing but was unable to get access to the net in these days.

Lot of info here, thank you very much.
I attended some Pat Page lectures many years ago, but I wanted to start to relook at it and to watch Pat performance (if possible - I really appreciate the "casual" look he was putting into the effect while performing it) . So I was more interested in some performance piece or description/explanation done directly from him. The lecture note info was directly aiming to my research.

I've seen the David Penn ads but I am not sure he really has the work on it. I will not check ;)
I will look for some info on the Barrie Richardson work.

Steve and Richard thanks for the brief info on its origin. Worth to have a look at the Al Baker "big book" this night.

The new Pat page book.. I will start saving money for it.

Since someone brought up the non-glass from sleeve that Richard Osterlind does, I would be remiss to not mention Eugene Burger's outstanding Shotglass Surprise.

Add to that Bill Abbott's new Stabbed & Shot. If you're not interested in the paper bag card stab (great effect btw), you can buy the glass & gimmick separately from Bill. It's a nice, easy way to produce a real shot glass with liquid. Simple reset, no worries about the gimmick getting wet and slipping.

And one more, getting closer to the original topic and don't believe I forgot, is King Solomon's Drink from Paul Harris' Close-up Entertainer (or Art of Astonishment books). I've been doing this thing for 30 years.

The set up is in the exact location as the glass from sleeve. It's a different sequence and the glass is produced from a handkerchief, but it's very clean.

Tom Stone also has a version of this in Vortex.
