Re: new mandrake info
Interesting that there were two competing versions--hadn't read that before. The director of this one is Chuck Russell--a real hack. It should be a dog turd, which is too bad.

Re: new mandrake info
That's because it's not true. There's only one movie -- Johnathan Rhys Meyers is Mandrake, Chuck Russell is directing, Criss is designing the magic, and will also be playing Mandrake's father. The first reports originally had Criss playing Mandrake, but that is not the case.Originally posted by Richard Kaufman:

Re: new mandrake info
Thanks for clarifying that, Jim. And if iTricks can print the transcript, then we can, too:
KING: About Mandrake the Magician?
ANGEL: Mandrake the Magician. Im playing his father, believe it or not. They are going to do prosthetics on me. And I will be in a veil and at the end, it will be revealed
KING: He was a famous comic strip and radio show years ago.
ANGEL: Yes. And Im very excited because Im also creating all of the visual effects in that movie as well.
KING: Big budget then.
ANGEL: Yes. It is a pretty good budget.
