wiki-exposure

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

As it happens, magic data (secrets/methods) are not themselves protected by copyright or patent or (unless things have gotten better) signed NDA and trade secrets agreements.

So anyone who obtains magic data is free to give out whatever secrets they wish to whomever they wish. It may be indecent to some ethical standards some of us in magicdom may want to set as commons...but it is the common behavior of some in our craft and such actions go back to Hoffmann and Scot and way before them too.

About password posting... isn't that a violation of the agreement clicked on when one joins a site?

The kind of passwords we hinted at were only ones that you could guess via magical general knowledge, such as "who was the professor" etc. It was designed to help young fledgling magicians who wanted to learn. We never gave out any other kind of password.
