Karrell Fox had a presentation that used the method of dealing a 2nd by way of the top card having all or part of the outer right corner cut away.
Does anyone know the original published source for this method of dealing a 2nd? Is it Karrell Fox?
Thanks!

That ruse is used in a trick called "Another Marvelous Coincidence" within Hugard's book "Encyclopedia of Card Tricks" (1937). But, it was published previously in a book by Donald Holmes called "Tricks with Prepared Cards" (1913)

Yes it was Jonathan, as the "Automatic Second Deal" in his "$20 Manuscript" (Ten Card Problems) published in 1932 (and later republished as part of Early Vernon).

Fulves had a method where the corner is intact, but there is a circular hole cut in the outer right corner.

A source for Fulves and some more is HERE.
Other sources by Fulves are Ellis Stanyon's Best Card Tricks, p. 83 and Topological False Count, p. 2. In the latter manuscript he credits Elliott with the missing corner idea, specifically Elliott's Last Legacy (1923), and gives some more sources.
