I have a used copy of "The Only 6 Ways To Restore a Rope" by Dariel Fitzkee inscribed by it's former owner and wanted to confirm provenance.
Earl Wilcox
SR 235
I have tried a google search and came across Earl Ray Wilcox. I was hoping someone might be able to shed more light on the "SR 235" and if it connects to Earl Ray Wilcox.

Re: Earl Wilcox ?
Don't know what the number is, but I knew Earl Ray Wilcox--nice guy and a great manipulator. Lived in the mid west. Did a book on The Interlocked Production of Cards--essentially Tenkai's method.

Re: Earl Wilcox ?
I knew and worked with Earl. He lived in Michigan and was an Abbott's regular. You could photocopy the signature and send it to one of the members of the Wilcox IBM Ring and they could probably verify his signature.
Come to think of it. I may have a signed photo I took of him. I will have to look and see.

Re: Earl Wilcox ?
"SR 235" could be "State Road 235" - analogous to a full street address in rural areas. Curious, though, that it did not have a city/county designated with it.
Hope this helps -

Re: Earl Wilcox ?
I did get some state road results on my search but only in OH and though it odd he'd inscribe his book(s) in that way.
Re: Earl Wilcox ?
Several roads in Michigan go by SR numbers. I will have to check my records at the shop tomorrow and see if I can find out.
The inscription does look Earl's. I will try to dig out my signed photo and scan it so you can compare.
I wonder if the SR referred to something in the book on page 235?

Re: Earl Wilcox ?
Greetings,
I grew up and entered the world of magic at a young age and joined r211 where Earl was a member. The signature you have posted belongs to the late Earl Ray Wilcox. I had the opportunity to perform for as well as watch Earl for several years. I hope you cherish the book as the former owner was truly a person whom inspired many to work harder and aspire to be the best.
Feel free to message me if you would like more information
