reference request

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

Can anyone help me find a reference for "Le Cards Generale" a routine by Persi Diaconis and Dai Vernon? I might be spelling it wrong. Thanks ahead of time.

I think it's in Vernon's "Ultimate Secrets of Card Magic."

It's called "Les Cartes Diaconis". It's an ingenious but controversial method. Some people think it has a fatal weakness. Some think the method is beautiful. I think they may both be right.

Best,

The routine is in Sach's Sleight of Hand. Persi's handling of the original appears in Ultimate Secrets.
