A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

I have been looking for material for my backdrops/jetsets that is both sturdy enough to transport from school show and sparkly enough to support thread effects. I wonder if anyone can help me with some suggestions the type of material

First thing -- before you purchase any backdrop material, make sure it meets the fire regulations whereever you may be taking it.

Check with some of the theatrical backdrop companies.
