Anyone know this joker?

Why does he keep e-mailing me?

Does he e-mail you too?

He is very persistent and very thick skinned, I'll give him that.

He's a well-known magician in he US. If he keeps emailing you, that's spam: have you looked at the bottom for the "unsubscribe" button? If there isn't one, then just reply to the email with "REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST" in the subject line.

Did you go to his free lectures at the Bash? You might have signed up for emails there.

Any emails I've recieved from Kostya have always contained an Unsubscribe link powered by InfusionSoft.

I've never used the link as I think he is a brilliant performer and thinker, but I'm sure it would work.

Did you actively subscribe to any e-mails sent by this individual in the first place?

I honestly can't remember ticking a box that said "send me stuff"
but... I am a customer of his, have bought several items online
so fully expect to get emails from him as I do from many of the dealers I buy from

However I also expect that there will be an unsubscribe link on these mailings

I do understand your frustration especialy if you feel your address was harvested somehow.
Having a fairly large online presense myself I am swamped daily with unwanted crap.

With all due respect to my esteemed brethren AJM, this borders on being the most boring and irrelevant thread in the history of Genii Forum. It's 2013, not 1993 for God's sake, AJM. Go solve this trivial matter yourself and let's get back to discussing magic.

I got added to Kostya's list without ever having any contact from him. As someone who issues a newsletter occasionally I find this annoying. I have never once subscribed anyone without their permission.

In any case, a good life hack I came across is the following.

Filter you email by the word "unsubscribe" to get rid of this and any other direct mail you not wish for.

Surely filtering by looking for the word unsubscribe will remove every single legitimate newsletter you get?

Yes, sorry if that wasn't made clear. It is a catch all solution.
