Talk about Mentalism

Postby whitecat » July 8th, 2014, 4:53 am

hey guys!

Are there any mentalists here? If yes, go ahead and share your experience.

How long you've been up to mentalism and what kind of mentalism tricks you prefer?

And remember, I can read your mind!

In this case, apart from your personal experience go ahead and share some cool stuff about mentalism on the internet! ;)

Talk About Mentalism

Postby whitecat » July 8th, 2014, 5:18 am

Ok, let me start.

The most of all I like the mentalism tricks which would need any props or items to perform. Sort of impromptu. Therefore the majority of them are mind reading tricks since they are considerably easy to perform yet they tend to be extremely impressive to the spectator and/or audience.

Then I also like mentalism card tricks, since all you need is a deck of card, which I normally carry in my bag or pocket.

Recently I was selecting the best and easiest mind reading card tricks and here is my personal top3:http://www.learnmentalismtricks.com/3-mentalism-tricks-revealed/.

Especially I like the last one since it doesn't need your presence and you can perform it over the phone. It just explodes spectator's mind normally:)

Hey guys,

I've been performing for a few years. I started watching Derren Brown and started working out some of the things hes done. Hes got every mentalism trick in his bag of tricks, including any variations ive seen from anyone else.

I have a show thats about an hour long. My specialty sets are about 15-20 minutes.

Generally I love anything that requires no props, setup or gimmicks. At most I have a pad of post its or big book of blank paper.

Mind reading and mentalism is a very niche market, id love to meet other performers and share insider tricks. I'm always looking to ad new effects, and because im the type of performer that doesnt use a lot of props you need creativity, and of course feedback!

My own favourite personal trick is here: http://rebelmagic.com/david-blaine-jamie-foxx/. I still don't know how he does the first one. Jamie Foxx's friends reactions are priceless haha.
