Yaniv:

It would help if you would post the URL.

Searching for things at MC is nearly impossible.

Yaniv, I'm looking for a design duplication. Why does yours have to be done by phone? How about informal, close-up?

One one person asked "please tell me it's not related to the 'draw a shape within a shape' idea."

Is it? What constraints do you put on the design being duplicated?

Why do you think Banachek called it "a miracle"?
Because it is!
I say so and i believe me...
Please read again the thread.

Hello Yaniv,
I followed the link you had posted to the magic cafe.
However I found the quote from Banacheck as follows:
-----------------------------------
"The effect is not sure fire and I doubt any but the most experienced mental perfomers could pull it off.

I also said I think that since it is not one hundred percent that it would be better to be part of a much larger book on psychological effects."
----------------------------------
Do I understand it correctly that this effect of yours does not work at all times and is not for normal performers? Does he also say that the material is not suitable for an individual sale? In addition is it correct that you are asking $45 for a manuskript of an effect that might or might not work?

Could you elaborate please?

Well as i said you could find anything Banachek had to say about my effect/manuscript at the url i gave you directly from the man himself but since you insist i will copy and paste:

First quote from an email Banachek sent me quoting by his permision
"I love your style of writing. I think it is wonderful and shows a wonderful exercise in the way mentalists produce miracles. Your thinking is superb. The work is brilliant."

after i posted the above quote here's what Banachek had to say

"Since Yaniv used a quote from me, with my permission, I feel I do need to qualify a few things if one buys it as a result of my Recommendation.

Eveything I said in the quote is true.

The effect is not sure fire and I doubt any but the most experienced mental perfomers could pull it off.

I also said I think that since it is not one hundred percent that it would be better to be part of a much larger book on psychological effects.

Having said that, I think everyone would benefit from reading this effect, but if you are looking for a sure thing this is not it. It will take a lot of work and experience and confidence on your part to pull it off but when you do, it is a miracle of the highest caliber.

I do recommend it as reading. It will get you thinking. And Yaniv certainly has a way with words.

Those who saw Ian Rowland talk about his picture duplication ideas at the Asylum will know pretty much what this is."

On his second post he said:

"Ian,

It is very good, a little different than yours but along the same thoughts. His writing and thinking is great. "

On the third post he said:
"In this effect. Yaniv has someone draw a picture and tells them what it is, over the phone. No stooges. No pre-set up.

As I said the thinking is what is important here, not so much the effect although the effect is a miracle. It will not always work all the time, but due to Yaniv's teaching, your odds off success are quite high."

I feel quite silly right now for doing all this copy and paste when you can read it on the magic cafe but i hope it will be enough...
I'm sure that people will review it in a few days.
Some well known mentalists among them...

The previous discussion might be a perfect jumping off point for a comment on how tough it is for consumers -- of magic or mentalism -- to make the right buying decisions. I would guess that the majority of times magic/mentalism consumers have purchased an effect or book or dvd, it has proved to be a disappointment. Things very often do not work as advertised. So, without getting melodramatic, who is the trickster? -- the consumer shelling out hundreds, maybe thousands -- or the magic industry, which promises miracles and, ultimately, tricks the tricksters.
