Looking for Computer Cards deck by Paul Swinford

Postby Joe Mckay » October 7th, 2017, 7:32 pm

Does anyone have the hole-punched deck that Paul Swinford produced for his Computer Cards effect?

I have the booklets explaining the trick but do not have the prop.

Anyone able to sell me a copy? I will pay 50 dollars for the deck.

Cheers!

Joe

Hi Joe:

I've got one in mint condition in its original box. It's yours if you want it.

I have always wondered how these decks were manufactured.

I love the ingenuity of this deck. I can't wait to make use of them in some novel magic tricks. It seems to me that these cards essentially allow you to do faro shuffle tricks without the need for any sleight of hand.

Here is a fun article on this, alas dead, technology:

I saw the die and punch at Haines House of Cards once. That's where the cards were made I believe and where I picked up my deck many years ago.

Do you have just the instructions, or also Swinford's 1986 book Cyberdeck?

I have both! :-)

I think I saw a sentence where Paul Swinford wrote he had redesigned the cards a little for the Cyberdeck release. But I haven't studied that carefully yet.
