Spirit messages appear in a sealed envelope or playing cards disappear from a sealed envelope only to rise above Satin's head. The device uses ordinary #10 envelopes that are sealed and placed in a clear see-thru plastic sleeve before being deposited into Mephisto's Mystery Box...these improvements bring this effect into the 21st century.
This extraordinary-magical accessory allows the performer to present spirit effects and switches before the eyes of the audience without suspicion. Suppose you wish to cause the appearance of a written spirit message upon a blank sheet of paper; any spectator can examine and seal the blank sheet in an envelope. You merely place the envelope into the clear see-thru plastic sleeve and place it into Mephisto's Mystery Box where it remains in full view at all times. Upon removing the envelope a spirit message or a desired change has taken place. Mephisto's Mystery Box is a device that will perfectly and instantly switch two envelopes. Detection within 1 foot is virtually impossible. Clean and easy to do with no hints on the switch and NO sleight of hand is required in the handling of envelopes. The exchange is so very easy and innocent , a magical marvel created with this mechanical stand.
The stand is also equipped to perform a Rising Card effect. 3 cards are selected by spectators and sealed in an envelope, placed in the plastic see-thru sleeve then placed into Mephisto's Mystery Box . The magician reviews the selected cards, removes the envelope only to find it empty. The magician picks up the Mystery Box and walks forward or waves his wand and the missing cards appear one at a time above Mephisto's head.
