According to Bill Goodwin (from an email to me):

"This issue was put together by David Ben as a spoof and presented to Gordon Bean and I at an early 31 Faces North convention. David solicited articles by others and put the issue together to look like one of ours. He also guessed on who some of our subscribers were and sent them out as if it was an official issue.

...

Gordon and I had nothing to do with it and it is not part of the official file, but a real fun curio with some fun articles if you can get it."

I'd be happy just to have another real issue of Penumbra

Someone was selling this single fake (summer extra) issue for $249 on ebay. It is likely to get relisted again in a few days.

Quite surprising that the Auction listing that Bill Mullins posted sold for only $200

A bit of worthless trivia:

You know, of course, that Bill Goodwin is the librarian at the Academy of Magical Arts Library (aka the Magic Castle). That library does not have a complete file of Penumbra. If I ever get number four, I am going to leave mine to the library.
