limited edition mirror question

Postby Brad Henderson » May 18th, 2015, 7:42 pm

Me again. Am thinking of allowing a student to perform with my schwartzman mirror penetration. Mine has the electronic reel in the back. When I saw this demoed as a kid the performer (henning) did not need this. But I'm curious how it is meant to work. My prop came without instructions. given how that piece fits into the prop, I'm puzzled - it seems to be upside down to me.

anyone have instructions for this item they would be willing to share?

thanks

Brad

Gimmick lifts. Silk/Scarf through hole has to be the correct weight and size/stiffness. Wrap a corner around gimmick and let "life roll on!" You have to grab for that last bit of silk/scarf before it leaves sight as you "work" the mirror. Call me if you have questions.
I bought mine from Howie at a convention in Boston. I remember a dealer friend, H.L., saying to me, "There's something that will end up in your dresser drawer." BUT It has been a "worker" for me. My routine goes well. Hope yours will too.

I do have trouble with one of my units now as it ages, the silvering is beginning to wear off some points in the mirror. That is a major problem!

Can you resilver it yourself? Instructions/kits are widely available on the internet -- search for "resilvering mirror"

I have Howie's Silk Through Mirror in like new condition. The mirror is perfect. With case but missing instructions. Anybody interested?
I know how to work it but would be great to get an instruction sheet for whoever buys it.
Thanks
Gary

Ar you saying he can help? Or that an earlier post misspelled his name? I have tried to find him online to no success if you know an email or phone. Can give it to me off forum

Howie is suffering from dementia and has withdrawn from society.

So sorry to hear that. I did just get his phone and address from someone but will not try to contact him.
Now to try and find an instruction sheet in case it has subtleties.
