TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
Bill is a member here. I hope he sees this.
I live in the UK - and would like to buy a copy of Tubthumping from you.
Please email me at joe_mckay@hotmail.com - or post a message here with the details on how to buy a copy. Hopefully copies are still available.
Cheers!
Joe
PS I don't trust the PM system here - so thought I would just post up a message instead.

Re: TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
From looking round the internet - my sense is that Bill Duncan doesn't have any copies for sale anymore.
As such - does anyone want to sell me a copy for $50?
I live in the UK. So I send you $50 - and you send it over here. If that is okay?
Please PM me, message me below or email me at joe_mckay@hotmail.com if you have a copy for sale.
Cheers!

In my experience Joe shipping costs from the USA are outrageously high - you may find these eating into a considerable portion of your $50.

Re: TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
Good point.
It is a 46 softcover book. So hopefully it shouldn't be a big problem.
But I will make my offer 65 dollars to cover that end for any guys posting from the US.

It's a small booklet. Won't cost more than a few dollars to post.
I may be persuaded to part with my copy. Plus, it's in Edinburgh

Re: TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
I am going to get the book from Ian (who is also in the UK).
But thanks anyway! Nice to know there are people willing to step in when tracking down out of print material. Really useful!

Re: TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
Ouch Ian. I'm hurt.
: )
Actually, at the prices it's going for these days I've been tempted to sell my two copies. I'm amazed this is still on anyone's radar.
I've been considering a "ten years after" edition, with some added material, but between my day job, and M-U-M, (and reading A Song of Ice and Fire), I haven't made as much headway as I should.
Clearly, since it's been eleven years...

Not an easy choice, but I've read the book, and it sits on my shelf now. If the information can help others, so be it.
Put me down for one of the updated versions though - it seems like you have a similar project timeline to me...

Bill. I'm not surprised that your book is still on the radar. I remember meeting you at Tom Frank's shop in Seattle and buying a copy. It's a great book and I still perform a routine exactly as you described it. My copy is staying in my library!

Re: TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
Matt,
I recall that as well. You were the first person to purchase a "retail" copy of the book if memory serves. Prior to that only the folks who proofed and edited it had seen it.
Which routine?

Re: TUBTHUMPING - BILL DUNCAN - WANTED
Sorry Ian.
A friend stepped in and offered to lend me a copy.
Bill? Put me down for an updated edition as well. Sounds like the sort of book I will enjoy.
I sense you are a fan of Michael Close in that he also believes that scripts should (where possible) be of use in strengthening the method (as well as clarifying the effect).

Ian,
Looks like I owe you a copy of the next edition at least...
Joe,
To my shame, I hadn't read the Workers series, or met Michael, until the eBook version of Workers was published. But yeah, I"m a fan.

Hi Bill.
The routine that I still use on a regular basis from Tubthumping is Whacked Back. It is a great routine and the reactions are always fabulous.
