I looked for a clip of Frank N. Furter saying (just) this for my original post. No such luck. Great minds Andrew; great minds!

I started later than most so I am convinced as soon as I get mine then the Tenyo book will come out. It's a never ending cycle!

I can't think of two subjects more different than Tenyo and Hofzinser, except that both exhibit extreme ingenuity.

Yes Richard, but with a similarity. Expensive tomes that are a must for every library.

It is hard for me to imagine that the audiences for both of these books overlap hugely, but I guess I'll find out when Tenyo goes on sale!

richard, at one point you mentioned the idea of taking paid reservations for the Deluxe tenyo book (I think). Did you decide one way or the other on that?

Everyone who sent in a request for the deluxe edition is on a list in the order in which they were received.

I don't want to ask for money until I get closer to a publication date.

I have been able to arrange for the inclusion of some excellent material exclusively in the deluxe edition that should please Tenyo afficienados!

At the moment I am waiting for quote from a printer in China.

The good news is that I have just one more trick to write in the main body of the book, and we've already started taking the photos. So--making progress!

If there is material in the deluxe edition not contained in the regular edition, wouldn't that actually be two different books? I thought deluxe had to do with the way it was printed, bound, etc. Forgive me if this is a stupid question.

It depends entirely upon what a publisher decides to do with that particular deluxe edition.

In the case of the Tenyo book, when I say "tricks" I mean physical props, not extra pages in the book.

Also, the deluxe edition is limited and each book is numbered. In this case, at Tom Leyland's suggestion (it's something I'd done with previous deluxe editions but had neglected to think about for this one ... duh) I had all members of Tenyo's Creative Division, both retired and active, and also Angelo Carbone and Lubor Fiedler, put their signatures on a single page that will be tipped in to the deluxe edition. Something indeed to treasure!

Woo hoo, look who just showed up on my doorstep, yep. Final payment made a few days ago and now its finally here. Being in retail and wholesale book selling for over 30 years and seeing how poor the quality of todays volumes has begun it is wonderful to see such a beautifully crafted set of books. Now to dig into the content. With Magic-Con looming stealing away time from my long suffering wife will be difficult at best. I may have to start a "new woodworking project" in the garage to get in some study time.

I would love to hear what those who have been able to spend some time with these volumes have to say.

Peace, Joe

I am having a hard time seeing exactly the choreography Christian is suggesting for the top change type moves.

I have my interpretation of his words, but don't feel I am necessarily accurate.

anyone else have thoughts on this?
