GM Dice Box-one of the most ingenious Dice Boxes ever made!

This was the die box designed by Bob Gunther and John Mendoza, made by Mel Babcock.
I beleive only 50 were made. New this cost $595.00 plus shipping. My price is $495.00.

Below is the blurb from Hocus Pocus.....
The magician shows a beautiful cabinet, made to hold two large dice in individual compartments. It is the classic Die Box configuration, two doors on front and two on top. Also shown are two large dice and a two-fold screen. Each die is spun on the table to show all sides and then picked up and tossed into the air, caught, and then openly placed into the cabinet. Both doors are opened showing one die in each compartment.
The magician now sets up a two-fold screen and proposes to make one of the dice travel magically from the cabinet to behind the screen. He offers to do it visibly or invisibly, whichever the audience prefers. This, of course, is the old gag and the audience will always choose visibly, so the magician opens one of the top doors and openly removes one of the dice. He shows it all around and then places it behind the screen, claiming that the die has traveled visibly from the box to the screen!. The audience groans, of course.
To make up for this, the magician claims he will make the die travel back into the cabinet, invisibly. He waves the box and a ?Thud? is heard. He then opens one front door to reveal the die back in the box. The audience, realizes this is the other die and that nothing has really traveled at all. Claiming otherwise, the magician tilts the box (another Thud!) and opens the other door showing a die on that side, too. The audience, of course, realizes it is the same die!
This sequence is the reverse of the classic Die Box sucker vanish, as the performer repeats the tilting of the box to show ?two? dice in the box. Finally, he pauses, and then opens both doors revealing that there really are two dice in the box. The die has magically flown back to the cabinet for the first surprise.
But, the real shocker is yet to come as he closes the doors, then instantly re-opens all four showing the box completely empty even though only a second ago it contained two huge dice! Both have vanished completely! And, magicians in the audience will be puzzled as the performer turns the box upside down showing that it is truly empty. And, the cabinet is, in fact, truly empty (no shells inside).
To conclude, the two-fold screen is simply knocked over to reveal two huge dice behind it! As in the beginning, they are spun on the table to show all sides, picked up and tossed into the air, caught and then openly placed into the cabinet and all four doors closed as the performer takes his bow. It is a killer routine and one of the few Die Box effects that will fool laymen and magicians.
The boxes are made of the finest grade walnut with beautiful inlays applied to the top doors like fine cabinet furniture. The die is three inches in size and several mechanical improvements have been made to the original cabinet, including a heavy weight to create a more genuine THUD and velvet lining on all interior surfaces to protect the dice from scuffing and scratches.
Each Dice Box is complete with full instructions explaining the routine in detail. This very limited edition and each unit is numbered will be the last boxes ever made. After they?re gone, there will be absolutely no more ever, so don?t miss this wonderful prop
