Do you have a Porper Clip?

Postby OpenCardCo » June 17th, 2011, 4:32 pm

Hey guys,

Recently we've been wondering if all people playing cards have clips to go along?!
Did you know it helps your deck stay in shape, that they can revive crimps and bends and that it protects your box as well ( don't you hate that when your box is damaged more then your cards )

At OpenCardCo, we have a special offer for Original Porper clips right now. Normally they go for $24,95, but for Genii Magazine members we have a special coupon which takes $5 off that price offering them for only $19,95!

Get yours today at http://magic.unique-masters.com?ref=porper ( click on the banner ) and protect your deck from warps and bends!
The special coupon code is: genii_porper11 ( you will need this upon checkout! )

Thanks again, and let us know what you think about the clips: do you have one or not?
Cheers,
The OpenCardCo.

I hope you guys are selling authentic card clips made by Joe Porper and not the Chinese knock-offs!

Unless you're buying them direct from Joe Porper, they're probably copies made by the Chinese.

Caution is an unfortunate necessity, given the knock-offs.

Unless from Joe, or a trusted source, I'd be skeptical.

Richard,

WOW, we did not see this one coming! We do have a trusted source, but it's not Joe Porper ( unfortunatly )

Since we don't know a 100% sure, we pulled this from the site untill we do know for sure.
Thank you for letting us know! We're sorry for the inconvience here on the forums.

THanks again!

Question, does Joe make them HIMSELF by hand? We're trying to figure this out....

cheers,

The easiest way to know is to contact Joe directly. And if you want to resell Joe's products, the best way is to source them directly from Joe.

Joe makes all the Card Clips himself.
If you did not buy them from Joe Porper then they are copies made in China.

If you go to the Web-site above you'll find "the best reprint" Jerry's Nugget cards. It also looks like thay have other "knock offs" available.

George, ( and other readers )

If we where a company that was ''looking'' for knock-offs we would not have taken off the clips of our site.
We have contacted our supplier and informed him of this issue, we will report this to Mr. Porper and contact him for original clips, just to be 100% sure we are offering originals to our public. If we knew these might be fake ( we don't know yet, untill that time the clips are not available for sale ) we would have never promoted these in the way we did!

The reason we are promoting these Jerry's Nugget playing cards is that we want to offer these cards to the normal user, which ( if thats the case ) can use the cards instead of worship them like some people do. Keep your originals sealed, and if you like the back design like we do get these since we honestly think they are great. These are NOT the decks some of us have seen in the youtube video; aka the paper cards which are useless!

We hope this explains why we do what we do.
Kind regards,
OpenCardCo.
PS: we have 1 lead sale through Gennii. This buyer is contacted and offered a refund. We are very sorry for all of this inconvience, and we hope we have handled the right way towards the users of Genii.

I hope that this is not true about the Porper card clip, as I ordered one yesterday. I should have been suspicious, but wasn't thinking. Thanks for the info. I will probably know for sure as soon as it arrives.

"The reason we are promoting these Jerry's Nugget playing cards is that we want to offer these cards to the normal user"

I'm just curious what "normal" user would pay 24.99 for a pack of cards?

Jason,
Considering these same decks go on eBay for $40, we find it a good deal.

I asked for a refund last night and have already received it. Their customer service seems to be excellent. As soon as they learned that the clip might be fake, they did something about it.
Thank you Jason.
