Cube-A-Libre House Of Magic (1960s)

Postby bobtee5 » January 18th, 2011, 10:47 am

Here is a very collectible Cube-A-Libre from House of Magic (Marvin Buma Burger) that I purchased around the early 1960s. It is single owner and in like new condition. This is a 6-block version (2 blocks) and comes with original instructions. This is a great puzzling effect and one of earliest versions made in the USA. House of Magic was a great source of collectible magic. The price, which includes USPS Priority Shipping with Delivery Confirmation, is $430.00. USA sales only. Insurance is optional and extra. If interested (photo, etc.), send email to rtysl@wideopenwest.com.

If anyone has seen this effect performed, it is a sure sale, trust me. This will blow your mind. I have a video of this effect being performed at the 1982 P.C.A.M., and after the performance was over everyone was asking "where can I get one?"
Here is your chance, no I do not know bobtee5.

Anyone know if there are a set of six letters one can use to make a bunch of words which would fit/work with the cube-a-libre mechanics?

Johnathan, I don't know of any specific letters to form words. However, different letters, designs, colors, etc. could be used on the blocks. Bob Tysl

The item is reduced to $400.00 (final reduction). Note: this item is sometimes referred to as the Conradi Cube a Libra. I see this item is advertised on another site for $495.00.

Bob,
It is actually just called The Conradi Blocks or Cube-A-Libre. As stated above it is one really neat effect. If you ever witnessed a performance of it, you would want it..TRUST ME!!

From Mike Powers on The Magic Cafe:
"If you ever get a chance, watch Bob Sheets perfrom Cube-A-Libra. He has an awesome presentation.
I was dying to get one after seeing him kill an audience of well posted magicians with it."
Mike
If anyone knows Mike, just ask him.
