Braue Notebooks 1-8 for sale

Postby Michael Close » April 16th, 2008, 1:54 pm

A quarter of a century ago, when the world was young and I was naive enough to believe that friends wouldn't screw you over, I purchased a subscription for the Braue Notebooks from Jeff Busby.

Over twenty-five years I received eight issues. That's all that Busby published of the fifteen promised. My guess is that's all there will ever be.

I've decided to sell my set of eight for $400. If interested, please contact me by email at mail@michaelclose.com.

Thanks

Will the purchaser also receive past and future screwings by Mr. Busby? That is, are the undelivered 7 issues included in the purchase? I mean, I could see paying $26.67 per issue (15) but not $50. ;-)

If his current condition is to be believed, then I don't think Mr. Busby is capable of screwing anyone anymore.

What was the original price for these and how many notebooks did that include if the full set was sent?

The Braue Notebooks have been sold. However, I have been thinking in starting up an investment instrument called "Busby Futures," which will allow magician investors an opportunity to guess how much future copies of the Braue Notebooks will go for, and lock in a price.

I told the person who purchased the notebooks from me that when I receive any of the remaining seven issues of the notebooks I will put on my ice skates and skate the issue to them, because at that time hell will have frozen over.
