Richard, This is a first class printing. I work for Simon & Schuster and I can say for a fact that such a book could not be made except by someone like you. So much for working on my thesis. Being more of a hobbiest than a pro I look forward to the inspiration this fine tome will provide.
Thanks, Joe :D

Richard,
The book just arrived here in Orlando,Fl.The book is beautiful.I have just spent the last hour and a half with the book.It really seems like Mr.Vernon is sitting in my livingroom talking to me.I really like that there are so many photos of Mr.vernon and other greats in magic.I really like to thank you Richard for making The Vernon Touch a success.
On the dustjacket it says the Column went on from 1968 to 1991 but on the title page inside of the book it says from 1968 to 1990.I just would like to know If this was a mistake or what happened?

Lauds from another book person, Richard.

It's beautifully done.

Thank you for not editing excessively.

The book is set wonderfully. Great use of art/illustration. Sound binding/heavy paper. A true joy!

Congratulations to everyone involved.

With Benson, Vernon and Vernon in quick succession, it's been an exceptional season for magic books.

Wrote this in the other thread. Received my copy in Kansas City, Missouri on July 21 and it was well worth the wait!!

This is one of the best values in magic. The layout and the quality are outstanding.

Thank you Mr. Kaufman and Team for taking the time to do this project right.

Sorry for the repeat post, but I'm really excited to have this book.......

Pierredan/Richard
I feel your pain Pierredan! I am in Canada waiting too! As to the Canadian Postal system, its usally very fast within Canada. Another question when it (package) has to leave the country or come into the country.
You can do what I did Pierre and a read the David Ben book on Vernon. An absalute gem of a book. One of the best bio's I have ever read in my life. You will not be disappointed!
I gotta get back to the door, I don't want to miss the postal guy'. :D

Best,
Jeff

The Vernon Touch touched down (am I the first one here to use that line?) in Calgary, Canada, earlier today (technically, it probably arrived last night).

Update ... 10 hours later, now that I've had a chance to look the book over ... this really is a lovely book. And I am very appreciative of the INDEX in the back.

Richard an excellent book! Love the pictures you've gathered and the attention you have obviously paid to putting togather a remarkably well done book. It is artistic and informative in the utmost nature. For the people such as myself who never even had a chance to meet the man it is a great gift you have given to lots of us. Thank you!

The nature is to want to read it all in one sitting but am warned to ingest slowly all this tome has for me. Love it!

Did Babe Ruth every teach you how to hit a baseball? How about Bobby Jones teaching you how to hit a golf ball? Maybe Jimmy Stewart taught you how to act? With the Vernon Touch you actually feel like you are in a one on one conversation with unquestionally one of the masters of close up magic. I refuse to read this book in large segments because I want the many brilliant insights to pass me by. This book like a fine wine or a fine meal needs to be taken in measured doses to really enjoy. I read about an article a day and think, really think, about the points Vernon makes. You cannot be taught by a better teacher. I realize that it has been a while since those who preordered have received their copies, but I thought it was important to those thay may not have ordered a copy as of yet to bring this thread back to life. This is must reading for those that hope to make their magic as good as it can be and for the armchair magician this will be hours of pure joy. Do yourself a favor and order one of these for yourself and maybe an extra for the young man or woman that might make their name as the next Dai Vernon. Thanks again Richard for a wonderful book. :D

Ahhhhhhhh. :) It arrived yesterday, and although I've only had a chance to browse the index and read the first two columns, I must say that this is truly a masterwork. Kudos to all involved in the project (right down to Mr. Larsen and The Professor himself). What a beautiful book!! Thank you so much, Richard. This one will have a permanent home on my bedside table.
