Card trimmer for sale on ebay

Postby Gary » July 13th, 2002, 9:56 pm

I am selling an antique card trimmer from Gene DeVoe's magic shop. It was used to make many of the Brother John Hamman trick cards. They are not cheap!

Gary;
What you are selling is half of a card trimmer set. The complete set includes a corner cutter to "reround" the corners flattened by the side trimmer. Either part is rather difficult to find with the corner cutter being the rarer of the two. Your reserve seems reasonable to me.

Gary;
I missed seeing the corner cutter sale. Yup, you had the complete set. The set you have appears to be just like my set. BTW - Joe Berg used to have an all brass set rather than the cast iron/brass sets. In the late 1960's he could often be found cutting cards in his shop on Hollywood Blvd. Your corner cutter is the only one other than mine that I have ever seen for sale! I wish you well on the other half of the set. ;)
