Johnny Thompson's egg bags

Postby troublewit » February 25th, 2003, 11:59 am

Hello,
When Johnny lectures, he sells egg bags made by the magic seamstress. Does anyone know how to contact Johnny or the seamstress for purchase of one of these bags? I seem to remember ads in Genii for the seamstress, but they are from old issues, and the contact info is outdated. Thanks. Also anyone know how these compare to Dan Tong's Malini bags in quality? Thanks much, Christopher

Christopher,

The last email address I have is:

lynetta@znet.com <Lynetta Welch>

The work is beautiful, but I have no comparison to Danny Tong's bags. At the time I last dealt with her (last fall) the email was a little squirrelly, so you may need to try a time or 2.

Later.....
Steve

PS I was curious if she was the reincarnation of Buzzbee's ex that also did wonderful work and, I believe, supplied Johnny Thompson with his Egg Bags, since the names were so similar. She's not - just a coincidence.

I had a chance to meet and chat with Lynetta Welch at the WMS Dealer Room. Lynetta has really put a lot of cool work into these Egg Bags including a variety of refinements developed by Johnny Thompson and also Charlie Miller, I believe. In addition, the quality of the bag material and overall workmanship is really excellent.

What impressed me too is that Lynetta is extremely knowledgeable about and into the performance of magic. Plus, she seemed to be a really nice person.

Get one of these Egg Bags while they are still available. :)

FYI Lynetta now has a website:

http://www.fabricmanipulation.com/

I just ordered an egg bag and a specially prepared blown egg for the malini egg bag. I'll keep you all posted.

FYI she now offers the malini egg bag in silk. Also offers it in about 3 colors: black, eggplant, and one or two others I can't recall. She also seems to sell Topits and a few other thingies :) .

Re: Lynetta. She is the best! Her work is absolutely top drawer. I own several of her products including the Egg Bag. High quality, elegant work.

I just bought Lynetta's billiard-ball holder, and it's the best. It's better than anything else out there, esp the cheapo flimsy holders that I used to use.

The ball stays in place solidly, and you don't have to worry about it. The steal is quick and sure. The re-load is immediate and easy.
