Magician George Ross of NY - ballon trick?

Postby Jonathan Townsend » October 29th, 2015, 3:00 pm

Good afternoon,

I was asked about a magician from the Carmel, NY area - stage name George Ross and a balloon trick he did. Anyone recall the guy? According to the person who asked me, he did stage shows and brought along a live bear.

The balloon item in question was having an inflated balloon come over when called. Seems a natural for the table fan or IT ... but this is more about the performer and context than methods.

Thanks in advance,

JonT

Update: The guy who asked said the bear's name was Suzy. Does that bring back any memories?

He was likely using that Abbott's floating balloon which used a blower. The blower moved from side to side and the balloon would move with it.

Thanks Richard, agreed the fan table is the most likely method for having an inflated baloon moving around.

Do you remember the guy? Any recollections from the magic community about George Ross and his shows?
