Mark Sicher

I just discovered the footage below of Mark Sicher -- who took first place at IBM when he was under 21 and died in his early twenties (some places on the internet have 24, others 23).

Mark would have been around 19 when this was shot, and I'm struck by the genuine charm, creativity, presence, humor, and imagination of this act -- especially for a performer so young.

I thought it was worth posting, as I think it deserves to be remembered; and hope it is a great discovery for those who -- like me -- had no knowledge of Mark or his work.

Mark was someone who deserved to live a long and happy life, but was not given the chance. A terrible pity.

Terrific stuff.
He reminds me a little--in looks and voice--of the actor Joshua Malina.
