The Mystery of William Davenport

Postby Kent Blackmore » January 28th, 2010, 8:12 am

William Henry Harrison Davenport, of the famous Davenport Brothers pseudo-medium act, died in Australia in 1877. His gravestone is in Sydney; but is there a second monument to his name?

See the "History" link at SydneyMagic.net for the story.

Kent

well done, great to catch up on the new research.

I popped over to pay my respects to William a few months back
(and remind myself how to find it.)

The words are really faint now on the stone.

That Adah Isaacs Menken was a saucy character eh?
