Magic book list in excel?

Hello,
I'm looking for someone who has already a database or extensive list of magic books.....
(title, author, year, publisher etc...)
to be honest, I was hoping someone else already started a list (excel is ok)so i don't have to start from scratch...
can anyone help?

Best I can offer you is Doug Atkinson's Magic Reference Pages. He has a large list of books, with full table of contents listings. It no where near covers all magic books published, but it is a good list. There are a little over 350 books listed. Here's the link:

Those sites are a good start, but someone still needs to copy all that info into a single Excel spreadsheet so it can be easily viewed and sorted.

Thanks for all the replies, I knew those sites...but am still looking for other sources...
I'm working on an xls file right now and as soon as it's ready, (a few weeks) (I hope..)I'll let you know.

My list of 160+ ebooks is also available online. And if you click through each individual ebook page you can also access the table of contents of each one.
Reverse chronological list by release date

http://www.lybrary.com/browse.php Clicking on a title and then on Table of Contents gives you access to the ToC.
I would assume that any of the bigger magic book publishers (Hermetic Press, L&L, Kaufman, ...) has their catalog and back list in a spread sheet or some other electronic form. Which suggests the question "why don't we have a magic books in print" somewhere?

I've got, on Filemaker, a list of about 900 books by Author, Pub date, Title, binding, number of pages, condition, value, and some comment on contents.
I checked the export function, and it saves to tab .csv, .slk, .dbf, .dif, .wk1, .bas, .dif, and .mer.
But I'm uncertain as to what you need -- just a huge list of magic books? Virtually all of my listing is card and close-up related.

Randy, I'd like to take a look at your list, just to see the variety of books published. Could you send the file, in whatever format convenient, to me at
roatc@comcast.net ? I'll find whatever program is needed to view the file.

I don't want to hijack anybodies project here, but if a compiled list from the above mentioned resources is created, I would like to offer to publish this list of magic books on my website on its separate page. I could even put it in its separate database with forms to add, search and access this list, similar to my MLP (Magic Lineage Project

I've complied an Excel file with all the above mentioned, i'm still cleaning out this data.
I have nothing against such a project if:
a: the owners of the sites don't mind us to share it...
b: it's free :)

I am sure also Richard Hatch at H&R magic books has his list of thousands of second hand books in electronic form. All of the resources mentioned here put together should yield a formidable list.

Hi Jacky, you may already have this, but Swann Galleries has auction lists posted on their website of the books and other magic items they've sold over the past few years. Please let me know if you make your list available, I would love to see it when done! Thanks, Patrick

Since we don't have 30 hours a day, the list is not finished yet...

This may be a little off-topic but I hope you find it somewhat relevant.
If you are looking for a computer program which helps you organize your library (or any other collection, really), you should obtain a program called BookCat. It is a really wonderful program that can be customized and is a fully searchable relational database based on MS Access, and it is an absolute bargain.

How do you like BookCat. I have been using Collectorz. They looked pretty similar. But, I do like the idea of using the MS Access engine vice being written in XML. I understand bookcat will also allow you to catalog books that are part of a Volume of works. (i.e. all the works in The Secret Ways of Al Baker.)
