Nothing happens when I click except that the music stops for a moment.

Re: Tragic Castle
I believe you just get the text at the mouse-over. It's low-tech.

Re: Tragic Castle
It seems the HTML of the page is incomplete... There is a "picture map" but the various spots don't link to anything :( I also believe there is a missing space between the text and the "HREF", which would prevent some browsers from showing the text on the area. Example:
... ALT="Wizards"HREF=>
should be:
...ALT="Wizards" HREF="we_should_have_a_page.htm">
Ciao!

That's a fairly glaring grammatical error for an editor, Matt...

Re: Tragic Castle
Does this mean the tragic castle is doomed to be both ineffective and a monument to the half hearted efforts of the tragic community?Originally posted by Pete Biro:

Re: Tragic Castle
Actually, you want to run your mouse over various sections of the castle.
You should see names beside your mouse cursor - these are hotspots - clicking doesn't do anything.
There is a running help on the browser status bar...

Geting back to the topic and intent of the site, are those folks named no longer at the castle.

Re: Tragic Castle
Correct. BTW I could only get the mouseovers to work in IE - not in Firefox...
Re: Tragic Castle
Right... all the names that appear, and there are many... are in the Alumni Club :(
Stay tooned.
Re: Tragic Castle
Is the magic castle gone now????
And nothing is happening when I click either, just stops the music.

Re: Tragic Castle
I just returned from Niagara Falls (on the CAnadian side) and IMHO the Magic Castle is just like the Falls... it will be around for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time. :genii:
Stay tooned.
Re: Tragic Castle

Re: Tragic Castle
"We'll always have Paris..." is an allusion to the film "Casablanca" and a dialogue exchange between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergmen.
In other words, we'll always have the memories.

Re: Tragic Castle
Tragic castle, sad but true. I returned from two months in Europe to find that David, long time Matre d', Katrina, long time waitress, and Sam, long time bartender and then manager, were gone from the Castle. When I asked where they were I was told they were all let go.
All were great workers and friends during the past few years, liked very much by many members, and had a long employment at the Castle.

If one does a whois on this site one will see that www.tragiccastle.com is registered to prestidigitronics. The site for this company is www.prestidigitronics.com.
Perhaps this provides a clue as to the author of the Tragic Castle site. ;)

That is James Williams company. James was the GM for a while and worked on all the gags at the Castle.
