Arturo Brachetti tour

Postby Raj Madhok » November 14th, 2002, 8:45 pm

Arturo Brachetti will be performing here in Dec. as part of his US tour. Any reviews or recommendations? From what I can gather this is a not to be missed performance.

I hope I am talking about the same guy, he was a regular on a British Magic Show, "It's magic"?? I have most all the shows converted from PAL to NTSC. He was always exciting to watch,(and this is going back 20 years ago.) He was doing lots of costume and character changes back then, way before we heard of the Russians doing this kind of stuff. He's flamboyant, plays woman too good (if that is all possible).

That's him... ever see his 3-armed violin player?

We had him do a short spot at the WMS some time ago and he did a killer "flying" totally different modus operandi than DC.

His newspaper ad promotes this as a Pre-Broadway tour.

Attended the show in Philly this past weekend. He's truly a genius, as Pete said. One of the top five shows (magic and non-magic) that I've ever seen.

Too bad he didn't do the 3-Armed Violin Player, but the Flying is awesome. How he did the western saloon scene I am still clueless.

You'll be happy to know that Brachetti will be the subject of a cover story in Genii later this year.

Arturo played is show in Paris for quite a long time (1 or 2 years). He received the "Molire" of the best one man show. Which means that it is much more than a standard magic show. Do yourself a favor: Don't miss this one ;)
