There will be a special screening of the classic movie, "Nightmare Alley", at The Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, this Sunday, at 7:00pm. Part of a "Film Noir Festival", the movie is based on William Lindsey Gresham's dark novel of the world of carnivals, mentalism, and spiritualists.
Actress Colleen Gray, who co-starred with Tyrone Power in the film, will make a guest appearance after the film. Before the screening, a display of memorabilia of the film and book, will be presented by Diego Domingo,(myself). Tickets are $9.00. Egyptian Theater: 323-466-FILM.

That's a must-see movie! I believe it's pre-Hollywood censor/code so it has some tough emotional moments, but also includes some very neat cold-reading and mentalism scenes.

Please note the screening was LAST Sunday, and was a great evening. There theater was full and a number of people who had a connection to the movie/book on different levels. This movie came out in 1947, definitely after the movie code/Hayes office began regulating what could be shown on the screen. Those who have read the book, will know how much was left out, to be able to produce this movie.
