Legendary Repertoire of Michael Skinner Volume 3

Postby Philippe Noël » July 31st, 2002, 7:42 am

Can we expect one day to be able to buy a volume 3 of The Legendary Repertoire of Michael Skinner?
I have heard that much more home video footage of Skinner was indeed available.

Hi Geno;

Loved the first two tapes on The Legendary Reperroire of Mike Skinner With the release of the third tape/DVD, will you also be including a list crediting the routines and identifying where they can be found (nothing like trying to provide you with more work). I know that most of them are well known by the fraternity but for some, they are not, and it would be great to have an index or contents listing where these items can be found for further study.

Thanks for bringing this material to the masses.

Nick :)

We are finishing up the project now. It is fabulous. 97 effects and explanations. It will be at least (don't hold me to it about three DVD's. It is in my opinion a great piece of history and knowledge for all magicians. I will post the details soon. I think I have made a mistake on the initial price because of the amount of DVDs. I may have to raise the price $9 or $10 bucks. I know that might bring some complaints but this is not unreasonable. So $39 for three maybe four DVD's, plus some bonus material. Whad'ya think?

Geno:
If this is a project that features video of Brother John demonstrating and teaching his own effects...and if you're saying it's $39 for three or four DVDs...don't tell anybody, but that's an absolute steal.

Include me in.

Geno,
You mean three or maybe four DVDs in the series at a price of $39.00 each right? Not all three for one price of $39.00...

I'd be happy to pay $39.00 for the volume just listed. I'm not all the interested in the other volumes... but a good "set price" for all of them might sway me into purchasing them all to have the set.

I may not be representative of most buyers however, because I buy DVDs to see performers I like. If I want to learn new material I'd rather have a book.

I've seen Mr. Skinner more times than any other magician so I'm most interested in routines I haven't seen before and I only recall seeing him do a couple of the effects listed below (the Ball and Vase is a favorite).

No, Geno means all three DVDs for $40, NOT $40 each.

Sorry to mislead, but the price will be $39- for all the DVD's. BTW, I want to thank Richard Kaufman for helping make this production a reality.

Please consider me a customer - I'll be glad to pay in advance - As Mr Duncan stated - I'd rather have a book for learning - But I do love watching certain magicians over and over

Dear Mr. Munari,

Will the Skinner DVD be available only through houdini.com or also through other dealers?
What about the upcoming Brother John Hamman DVD?

Thanks.

Geno:
You have yourself a happy customer already; the price for owning the three DVDs of Bro. John is entirely too fair. (Not that I'm complaining, mind you.)

Like Dave said, sign me up. I'm there.

By the way Geno is one of the nicest guys I ever met. I was in Las Vegas about two years ago and headed to a magic shop.

After one of Geno's shop attendants tried to sell me a set of Addams cups and balls Geno happened to wander by.

He talked to me for an hour and a half about magic and Michael Skinner. He wouldn't let me leave without taking a copy of Michael's book "Classic Sampler" with me and wouldn't allow me to pay for it.

He didn't know me from Adam. I regretfuly never wrote him to say thank you for his kindness towards me. So better late than never. Thanks Geno. A true gentleman of magic as was Mr. Skinner.

Warmly,

Pete Mills

I agree with the poster above. Mr. Munari is one heck of a nice guy.

I had a bad experience in one of his shops one day, and he quickly remedied the situation. I have a lot of respect for him.

I can't wait for the Hammon dvd's.
