Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Be patient as we don't become ill overnight and shouldn't expect recovery to be overnight. Slow and easy as a self-working effect.

Only those who have suffered a stroke or had a loved one suffer a stroke fully understand the above comment. That sums it up quite well.

Pete, best wishes for a full recovery. An encore performance is not required! Take care.

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon with Pete at the hospital. He is doing very well!! Has complete use of his entire body and speech.

Just as I arrived he recieved a call from Jay Leno.

Pete should be home Tuesday. The doctors want to assess his reaction to one more medication.

He is aware of the many well wishers on the forum and is most appreciative. He hopes to get online as soon as he is home.

GREAT NEWS! Just had a chat with Pete: They released him from the hospital!

(I think they threw him out, but whos to really say) Hell be online later. Right now, hes taking it easy. The important thing is that hes home and okay!

Either way, welcome back, Pete!

Hey Pete,

If you need some motivation,
call dad, and he'll give
you some good 'ole Chinese
therapy...and whatever.

Just because he has an extra
hole in his head, only meant they
found out he DOES have
a brain.

knock on head.

You heard it here first:
1. Get plenty of rest,
2. Drink lots of fluids [chicken soup and (or) Johnny Walker Black are said to work wonders], &
3. Always remember: In all honesty, it ain't the same w/o you and your zazz.

that's doesn't work at all.

All stroke survivors need this:

1. light a fire under ass
2. get scolded once a day, every day
3. hugs & kisses all day

--Fire under ass: check.
--Scold every day (I'll think of something...): check.
--Hugs and kisses. Look, I'd love to pitch-in any way I can, and I guess I'd volunteer to hug and smooch Pete a little if it'd help (who wouldn't?)--but how many times do we actually have to make out?

Pete: please contact mai-ling and work out details.

Hell of a way to lose 15 lbs. You know walking and eating less is really the way to do it!

;)

I've been taking 6 meds, 3 vitiams and 1 asprin in the morning and two meds every night for my daibetes. Talk about trying to keep meds in order. I feel for you :)

it is true that no matter how minor or severe
your stroke is, you loose your endurance.

just getting to the bathroom can be tiresome.

by the time you finish you need a nap!
