Dear magicians,
Do you have any idea where I could buy the book Sleight Unseen(1979)by Stephen Minch?
Are there plans to reprint this book ?
I would also be interested by Hofzinser's Card Conjuring(Dover edition). Do you think that Dover edition will reprint this book?

Philippe,

I think you should still be able to order Hofzinser's Card Conjuring (Dover edition) from Amazon.com or Barnes&Noble. There are also second hand copies available. Check for example www.bookfinder.com

Or you could get the ebook version from us at Lybrary.com

I believe the entire Martin Nash trilogy is being reprinted (by Micky Hades? Can't remember).

Hades is advertising "Sleight Unseen" (along with "Ever So Sleightly" and "Any Second Now") available October 31. Their website is "www.trickster.com/hades".

Just a few words to say how I am disappointed:
I sent an e-mail to Hades(trickster.com)and still have no answer. Sleight Unseen is not in their on-line catalogue.
Concerning Hofzinser's Card Conjuring, I did not find a Dover edition, even used, for sale.
Sad news.

Philippe,

when I go to http://used.addall.com/ and type in "Hofzinser's Card Conjuring" as title, I get two copies which are available through abebooks. Only one caveat, they are $700 and $1000.

Could that be a reason to buy our ebook version for $2.50? (add $10 + $3.50 for custom CD and shipping and handling). And if you really want a paper version you could print out our ebook. Not really a super nice version printing a HTML document but probably better than paying a few hundred bucks.

So what do you suppose my Dover edition is worth? Hard to imagine a $5 paperback reprint being "hard to come by"

I visited the Dover website and did a search on the ISBN number... it's also out of print.

Could be. Depends on whether or not you've contacted Dover Books to see how much they're selling their version for, and how badly you want the original printing (the expensive version).

Me, I'm a Hofzinser fanatic and was lucky enough to receive a first edition of the English translation (with a bookmark from Henry Ridgely Evans!) as a 50th birthday present from my adoring wife and Genii's generous editor.

But Chris's version is a viable alternative, and his is a valued service.
