Armando Lucero Workshop

Postby Gordon Bean » July 6th, 2004, 11:35 pm

Armando Lucero just told me that he'll be doing an all-day workshop on his original card sleights and effects in the Los Angeles area on July 31st. He's previously given workshops in Japan, Austria, and England; this will be his first one in the U.S. Attendance will be limited to fifteen. For further information, contact Armando at luceroa21@mac.com. This will be something very special.

You don't want to miss this. I saw a "preview" (without the METHODS) last week and I will tell you, if you learn what he is going to teach you will have material that will fry the best of them.

I would like to attend, but have to go out of the area for a Memorial Service for a dear friend that weekend.
Stay tooned.

I sat with Armando at the Castle a couple weeks ago and he showed me the original sleights that he teaches in that workshop. It's totally original stuff, and it will fry you.

What one can learn from Armando that is even more powerful than his original magic is the attitude toward your magic and toward your performing that he prescribes.

In Mayrhofen,Austria it was 400,- Euro, so I guess it will be around 500$ in the States.

And to think I got to see a workshop by the respected John Carney for only $50. I'm going to pass on for that price.

Considering that Derek Dingle, Larry Jennings, Brother Hamman, and Dai Vernon among NUMEROUS others would happily show you their material if you had a sincere interest and were willing to practice, and they often charged NOTHING, or simply lectured and you had to pay a modest fee, the fee of $500 per person for this "workshop" seems a bit, shall we say, ambitious?
