Penn and Teller.... History of the Joke

Postby MaxNY » March 2nd, 2008, 1:27 pm

I can't tell you a whole lot about this one, as I haven't seen it yet, and today's New York Post (Sun. March 2) only had a picture of them next to host Lewis Black, but not a word mentioned in the article..? They did say that there were lots and lots of bleeps, and things got really dirty, so you may want to stay away from this one.

This was a cute special, suitable for basic cable. yes there were a few bleeps, but nothing to get into a twist over.

It was similar to a documentary that Jerry Seinfeld made a few years ago, except this show was funnier.

Penn and Teller appeared in a couple of shots, as did dozens of stand-ups.

It wasn't raunchy, by any means. The above link tells you everything you need to know.

I'm a big Lewis Black fan and fell on the floor laughing through "The Aristocrats." Found the "History of the Joke" somebody's' bright idea for content that was poorly executed and to be precise, not funny.
